I like stuff that works.

This is not a list of the cheapest or the most expensive parts and gear, these are items that have been tested in ongoing harsh conditions and found to be worth their cost. As an Amazon Affiliate, if you purchase these items through our links we receive a small percentage. We also have direct manufacturer links and coupon codes in some instances.

Universal Auxiliary Lighting

Offroad-tested aux lights at a fraction of the price of premium brands like Denali.

Nilight 2.7" Pods Combo Fog/Spot

27

I've run these pods for 8,000 miles of hard offroad, including Moab sand dunes and a Colorado BDR trip where it rained for 5 days straight. They are wired with an amber fog wide beam and a high beam spot light.

Purchase direct from the manufacturer HERE and use code "MMMOTO" for 5% off an already great deal.

Zmoon 1.3" Pods Combo Fog/Spot

24

I've installed these pods on 4 different bikes. They're small, bright, and cheap. I had one failure on a unit that the bezel unscrewed after thousands of miles of rain, snow, heat, sand, and direct impacts.

On all future units I put a drop of blue loctite under the bezel and sent it. No further issues.

Nitecore NU20 Classic Ultralight Headlamp

25

It's small, it's bright, it has a dedicated red-light mode button, it's USB-C rechargeable. The best and worst thing about it is how small and light it is. I have lost it multiple times in a pocket or tank bag because of it's diminutive size. But it's still my favorite ultralight headlamp.

TOBTOS 6-in Thick Inflatable Sleeping Pad

40

I have a fancy name-brand sleeping pad, and it's terrible. You can have it. If you ride high miles and you're a side sleeper, then an ultralight pad is asking for sleepless torture. This thing rocks. I have slept on this pad over rocks and been perfectly comfortable. Pairs well with the sleeping bag liner and the mini air pump.

The Friendly Swede Sleeping Bag Liner

27

Just throw your inflated mattress in this liner and your bivvy will be one step closer to your bed at home. There is a pocket at the top that helps keep your camping pillow in place.

Hikenture Ultralight Camping Pillow

23

This is better than a rolled up dirty coat or a bag of worn socks. It's an inflatable pillow. It works. It works best when partially inflated. The valve is intuitive and secure. Treat yo' self.
